Hi everybody! 
I'm participating in Inktober this year.  My instagram account will be the place I share my daily doodles. I'm going to be doing simple black ink drawings. If you want the history or more info about Inktober just click the link. There is a prompt list. I might use it sometimes, but mainly I'll just be having fun. I will be recuperating from surgery for most of the month. So this is good timing.

Just Around the Corner.....

Spring is just around the corner. I can feel it.

This is a nice little photo of a mushroom amongst the burning bush foliage in our garden this past fall.

My little muse...

While scrolling through Facebook one day a few months ago I spotted a post from our local animal control. A puppy who had been dropped off and mistreated, needed a home. I have always had kitties and never thought about having a dog. We are in the midst of renovating an old house and it's always a little crazy and undone in here! However I fell in love with this little face as soon as I saw it. I showed the post to Jason and he said "when are you going to pick him up"?  Yes! Jason is awesome! Applications, home visits and lots of vet stuff later I went to pick up Oliver. He was very scared and other than Jason wanted nothing to do with men or children. Immediately though he was my right hand puppy! He follows me everywhere and is the best studio puppy there ever was. So be on the lookout for lots of little dogs in my upcoming work.

September at Baked

Yum! My favorite place here in our little town. The perfect place to go to get an afternoon snack and coffee. Or a baguette and wine to go with dinner. BAKED! I'm super happy and honored to have my art hanging there for the month of September. There are our brand new chalkware designs! Paintings. Everything happy and sweet...just like Baked.

I wanted to let you know that I'm preparing for a show at The Globe here in my hometown of Berlin, MD. Talking Birds, Sea Creatures and Animals I Have Yet to Meet. The opening is May 10th and it will be FULL of new paintings and furniture.

There is a Whale in the Garden

I just finished a new painting. It will be on display at The Rehoboth Art League through August.
I love the idea of things being askew and a whale in the garden is just that. He's not sure how he got there....but he likes it and so do all the garden creatures. Thank you so much for looking at my work.

i finished my deck for the 2012 art show at dimensions just in time. crazy humidity has made drying time super slow. the opening is tonight and it's always fun. so many decks from local and not so local artists. so if you are in ocean city, md now or sometime this summer...go check it out. the gallery is upstairs and the shop is full of good stuff. thanks!

I'm so excited to announce that my work will now be available at Bungalow Love in our pretty little hometown of Berlin, Maryland. The shop is owned by Heather Layton and is full of amazing goodies. I will be there this coming Friday. May 11th from 5 till 8 with lots of new furniture and paintings. It's also Ocean98 Mayday Playday. A lineup of awesome local music and fun stuff.  I still have small one of a kind paintings on wood available at Berlin Coffee House. Art makes a great original gift!  It's going to be FUN! I hope to see you there.

nibblefest time- moonlight

i have decided to participate in nibblefest this month on ebay. the theme is moonlight. i did two quick pen and ink drawings. it's a contest with a theme. the person who has the most individual bids wins. it's really fun to see what everybody creates.
